What I can do for you
- State-space models of physical systems for simulation, state estimation and control:
- Mechanical systems (oscillations and structural stability)
- Electrical systems (power grid)
- Multi-domain (e. g. electromechanical)
- Port-Hamiltonian modelling
- Finite element method (FEM)
- Linear and nonlinear systems
- Continous- and discrete-time systems, ordinary differential, partial differential or differential algebraic equations
Why hire me?
Mathematical modelling of physical systems has been my specialisation after my undergraduate studies and throughout my PhD. In the latter, my focus was on energy-based modelling methods of multi-domain systems. But this was not purely theoretical work – I am also experienced in dealing with the various obstacles that arise when implementing a model-based approach on the actual system. I always welcome a challenge!
My experience
- Analysis of the German/European electricity transmission grid using pandapower and PowSyBl
- PhD in energy-based modelling and decentralised state estimation at the Institute for System Dynamics at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. See my publications for more details or my PhD thesis
- Modelling of human gait and the interaction with a walking assistant robot at the Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan as my master thesis
- Assisted with the mathematical modelling of a plasmonic palladium-based hydrogen sensor as my graduate student research project. See this publication for details
