This past year has been full of changes, but I’m very content with how things turned out. I am thankful for a good start in Australia and also that Strophurus Solutions worked out so far. The latter was possible because of my first clients, whose trust I really appreciate.
Thank you very much!
Wishing everyone a prosperous and exciting 2025!
The Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo on the left, peeping out from a hollow in a eucalyptus tree, wishes you a happy new year too! I encountered this one on Mt. Coot-Tha, the tallest hill in Brisbane, where you also get a nice view of the city.
Currently I’m working on a single page web application using Vue.js which is a lot of fun. Also, I’ll be helping another client with operational reporting using MATLAB, so I’m fully booked at the moment. Starting April this year, I’m ready for new projects. Please get in touch with me if you are considering my services for one of your projects or ideas!
There is something else I want to share:
For the closing of the year, I took some time off and visited the amazing Woodford Folk Festival. If you live in Queensland and you haven’t been, it’s definitely worth a visit!
One of the musicians performing there this year was Nathan Cavaleri. He had been struggling with anxiety and depression for some years before making it back on stage. Nathan gave a workshop at the Festival, where he talked about what he needed to understand about himself and his fears to be able to rein them in and keep them in check. While none of it is new (he says that himself), I found it very relatable. If you have an inclination towards anxiety, depression or insomnia (or know someone who does), it might be helpful to hear what he has to say about it. Nathan also streams on Twitch, if you’re into that. Make 2025 a year for better mental health!
