This is an update of the previous post “Coaching a Rover Team”. I am happy to announce that the high school team I was coaching for a DLR rover competition is amongst the winners!
Congratulations Caro, Hannah, Aaron and Tonio!
They put a lot of effort into their rover and the result is pretty stunning. I am glad that I was able to offer some support in the process.
As a winner, the team gets to go to the island Vulcano in Sicily, Italy where they’ll be able to test their rover in rough volcanic terrain. They’ll spend about a week there in an island resort. The DLR will put together a program consisting of workshops, seminars and field work as well as some evening socials.

I hope there will also be ample time to enjoy the island and relax as a sort of compensation for the weekends the team sacrificed to work on the rover 🙂
